Two- time Olympic Gold Medallist Yelena Isinbayeva needed just two vaults to prolong her Olympic title reign. She went on to finish the competition with 5.05m, a world record at the time. This was her 24th world record and since then has achieved breaking her own women’s pole vault world record at the Weltklasse Golden League meeting in 2009 by clearing 5.06 m.
